Compound Sentence

A compound sentence contains two independent clauses joined by a coordinator. The coordinators are as follows:

a.       For

b.       And

c.       Nor

d.      But

e.       Or

f.       Yet

g.      so.

h.      As well as

i.        And also

j.        Furthemore

k.      Like wise

l.        Besides

m.    Again

n.      Moreover,etc

 Note: The first letter of each of the coordinators spells FANBOYS. Except for very short sentences, coordinators are always preceded by a comma.

Example: 

a.       Suci eating meatball, and Lia eating noodle.

b.      Della is diligent, but fitri is lazy.

From the sentence above, “and”, “but” is the coordinator.
